The Paloma

The Paloma

The Paloma cocktail is the one drink everyone has to try in summer. Light and refreshing, with a citrus pop of grapefruit, the Paloma gives the famous Aperol Spritz a lot of competition for best sipper. Here's how to make the popular Paloma even better. We call it the "Duploma Paloma."

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pink sea salt
  • 1 jigger (1.5 ounces) white tequila
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 3 ounces of Duplin Carlos or Duplin Magnolia
  • 4 to 6 ounces of grapefruit soda such as Fresca or Jarritos
  • 1 half-moon slice of fresh pink grapefruit

Directions:

  1. Rim a large rocks glass (10 to 12 ounces) with the pink sea salt.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. Add white tequila, lime juice and your choice of the Duplin white wines recommended in the ingredients list to the glass.
  4. Fill the glass with grapefruit soda.
  5. Stir lightly. Garnish with the grapefruit slice.
