Strawberry Mint Iced Tea

Strawberry Mint Iced Tea

Southerners are iced tea experts, and this spiked iced tea hits every mark. Sweet and refreshing, plus a little fizz and a Duplin wine kick. Use frozen strawberries instead of ice cubes to keep the drink frosty and gorgeous. If you like your tea extra sweet, use sweetended green tea and strawberry soda. If you're more of an unsweetened or half-and-half tea person, use unsweetened tea and strawberry seltzer.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brewed berry or lemon-flavored unsweetened green tea
  • 1 cup brewed mint tea
  • 2 cups strawberry juice or strawberry juice blend
  • 1 bottle Duplin Scuppernong Blush
  • One 16-ounce bag frozen strawberries
  • 2 cans strawberry soda or strawberry seltzer
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Directions:

  1. Pour brewed teas, strawberry juice and Duplin Scuppernong Blush wine into a large pitcher and stir well.
  2. For each serving, place 4 to 6 whole frozen strawberries into a 12-ounce glass.
  3. Pour tea to fill the glass two-thirds full.
  4. Top off glass with strawberry soda or strawberry seltzer. Garnish with fresh mint. Makes 4-5 servings.
